Jeffrey D. Stites, chief operating officer

Jeffrey D. Stites’ career in real estate finance spans nearly 30 years with financial institutions in the Western United States. These include Wells Fargo Bank, First Interstate Bank, San Diego Trust & Savings Bank, and First National Bank. 

For the past decade, Mr. Stites served as senior vice president and regional manager (San Diego, Orange County, and Las Vegas, NV) for the real estate division of City National Bank where he managed a $1.2 billion real estate loan portfolio. Structured transactions included construction, mini-perm, mezzanine, and shared appreciation financing associated with all types of commercial and residential properties.

Mr. Stites joined Coseo Properties, Inc. from JD Stites and Associates, a San Diego-based consulting company specializing in asset restructuring, asset disposition, expert witness testimony, finance sources, analysis, and lender services.

As chief operating officer for CPI, Mr. Stites manages the smooth operation of the firm as well as raising private capital (debt and equity) for investment partnerships, securing third-party financing commitments for investment partnerships, maintaining lender relationships, providing analysis associated with the acquisition and development of assets, and negotiating structured finance transactions. 

Mr. Stites, a former US Olympian in water polo, has maintained his passion for sport and community service through his participation (most recently as past president) in a non-profit organization supporting boys & girls athletics.
